High Bar Harbor
is west of Barnegat Light on the north end of Long Beach Island and is part of Long Beach Township. This community does not have its own beaches but most properties are waterfront or have water access.
It is a bayfront and lagoon community ideal for boaters. Fishing is popular among the residents since it is a quick ride out of the Barnegat Inlet to the ocean. It is most like a traditional neighborhood compared to the other towns on Long Beach Island that run along the boulevard. The High Bar Harbor Yacht Club is a private association with gorgeous views of Barnegat Lighthouse and the Barnegat Inlet. Last year, the average sales price in High Bar Harbor was $840,000.
